Family Nature Experience Ages 3 and up

Families of all sizes are invited to come visit the zoo and enjoy some quality time together, while also having some roaring good fun! Crafts, story time and zoo walks for all ages! Program is 90 minutes 1:00pm – 2:30pm.

September 22, Growing Up Wild:

Explore the inner workings of animal families and how babies grow to adults! Through interactive activities and lively presentations, you’ll learn unique life cycles, how parents care for their young and the special bonds within the animal kingdom.

October 20, Creepy Creatures:

Have a child or whole family who are fascinated by the mysterious and often misunderstood animals that inhabit our world? Get up close to real “creepy creatures” and learn about their intriguing features, behaviors and important roles in their ecosystems.

November 17, Hop, Skip and Jump!:

A mix of movement-based activities and hands-on learning, let’s encourage our children to embrace their energetic and silly nature, while also gaining a better understanding of the amazing abilities of animals.

December 15, Winter Wonders:

Winter can be challenging, but somehow animals survive this cold season. This program features animals that thrive in these environments, along with winter-themed crafts that will help our very own zoo animals stay warm!
