Homeschool Day at Austin Zoo
Our Annual Homeschool Day is Back!
Friday September 26, 2025 10am - 1pm
Join us for a wild day of hands-on learning and unforgettable experiences from 10 am to 1:30 pm on Friday, September 26 at Austin Zoo’s Homeschool Day. Participate in STEAM activities around the zoo, hosted by community partners who offer resources for homeschool families!
Due to the overwhelming popularity of our Homeschool Day, only the public and Zoo members with pre-purchased Homeschool Day tickets will be admitted. NO EXCEPTIONS. No tickets to visit the Zoo will be sold on September 26.All tickets are $10.00 per person. A limited number of tickets will be sold for this event, purchase yours early before we sell out. Ticket sales will close at 5pm CST on Tuesday, September 23 or earlier if sold out.

All Education Programs
Zoo Tots (ages 18 months – 3 year olds with caregiver)
Young tots and caregivers join us in making animal crafts, reading about our animal friends and exploring the zoo by stroller or little feet! 8 sessions Jan – May.
Family Nature Experience (ages 3 and up with Family)
Families of all sizes are invited to come visit our zoo and enjoy some quality time together, while also having some roaring good fun! Crafts, story time and zoo walks for all ages! 5 sessions Jan – May.
Homeschool Nature Series – (ages 6-12)
Students age 6-12 will enjoy meeting our ambassador animals, hands-on labs and interactive lessons where we go in-depth on a wide range of animal topics. 4 sessions Sept -Dec.
