GUEST RELATIONS ASSOCIATE (Customer Service and Retail)

If you are an animal lover AND a people lover, join our dynamic Guest Relations team at Austin Zoo! We are seeking to hire outgoing, reliable, hard-working individuals to work in our customer service and retail roles as part of our Guest Relations team, which covers Admissions, Gift Shop, and our Animal Feeding Area. We are a non-smoking workplace.

Full-time or part-time positions. Flexible shifts, weekdays and weekends available.

Austin Zoo is currently recruiting three Summer Camp Counselors for the 2023 summer season. The Summer Camp Counselor is a seasonal employee responsible for leading campers, ages 6-12, in inquiry-based learning activities, crafts, games, and zoo tours.

Concession Trailer Attendant for TRACKS AND SNACKS

TRACKS AND SNACKS in AUSTIN, TX 210-849-0558 is looking for Concession Trailer Attendants to join our strong team. We are located in The Austin Zoo at 10808 Rawhide Trail, Austin, TX 78736 Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and hard-working.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service while working in a fast-paced environment
  • proper cash handling, including greeting and servicing customers at the register, taking orders and accepting payments, handling cash, debit and credit cards
  • Replenish foods at service station
  • Prepare food such as popcorn, hotdogs and nachos, etc.
  • Stock and restock items as necessary
  • Scrub and polish counters, wash dishes and clean steam tables and all other equipment
  • assist in preparing orders
  • Stock and restock items as necessary
  • Ensure all sanitation procedures are followed relating to all local licensing regulations
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Prior concession experience preferred
  • Must utilize excellent customer service
  • Must be able to multi-task and have a positive attitude
  • Must have current Food Handler Certification License
  • Must be able to stand, for long periods of time
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers
  • Processes excellent cash handling skills and be able to use a POS system
  • Must be well groomed

Miniature Train Ride Engineer for TRACKS AND SNACKS

Tracks And Snacks in Austin, TX 210-6540811 is looking for Miniature Train Ride Engineers to drive the Austin Zoo train. Join our strong team.

We are located in the Austin Zoo Train Depot at 10808 Rawhide Trail. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, reliable and engaged.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Driving the Austin Zoo Train
  • Ringing train tickets and concessions
  • Filling concessions as needed
  • Maintaining a clean train depot area
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to get on and off the train repetitively, and with ease
  • Must be well groomed
  • Must be able to stand for at least 6 hours
