Community Outreach Programs
At Austin Zoo, we are passionate about spreading the love for wildlife and conservation beyond our zoo gates. We offer engaging and educational outreach programs for community organizations such as churches, public libraries and senior citizen facilities. Our outreach programs are designed to inspire and educate audiences of all ages, fostering a deeper connection with the natural world.
Each outreach program features:
- Audience Participation: Interactive sessions that engage participants and make learning fun and memorable.
- Ambassador Animals: The chance to meet and learn about some of our incredible ambassador animals up close. These special animal guests help illustrate important wildlife concepts and conservation messages.

Scout Programs
Bring your scouts to Austin Zoo for a memorable and educational experience! Whether you want to reserve a custom scout workshop to meet badge or patch requirements or simply enjoy a fun day of learning, we have a program for you.
1-Hour Workshop: $15 per participant
- Includes zoo admission
- Engaging and informative sessions tailored to your scouts' needs
2-Hour Workshop: $20 per participant
- Includes zoo admission
- Available for Junior Girl Scouts and higher, and Bear Cub Scouts and higher
- In-depth workshops covering various topics and activities
Both workshop options offer a unique opportunity for scouts to learn about wildlife, conservation, and the environment. Our programs are designed to enrich their knowledge while providing an enjoyable day at the zoo.

All education program and camp sales are final. All programs will take place rain or shine. In the event that we cancel your program due to reasons we deem appropriate, a full refund will be issued, and individuals will be contacted directly.
