Rates & Reservations
$8.00 per person + school program costs, if applicable
Onsite school programs can be added to your zoo visit. Our school programs are aligned with the TEKS for pre-K through fifth grade. These programs are an additional $3.00 per student. For more information on what programs are being offered at the time of your visit, please email education@austinzoo.org.
Bus Drivers plus 1 teacher per 10 students will be admitted free of charge.
We require a minimum of 15 people and one person must pay for the entire group.
Chaperones, parents and siblings will be charged full zoo admission rates at Admissions.
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, cash and school check. Payment is due in full at time of check-in.
To make reservations, fill out the online field trip reservation request form below. The steps in the process are:
Submit online reservation request.
Receive email confirmation of field trip date and arrival time within 3 business days.
Note: train ride reservations are separate.
Field Trip Day Information & Guidelines
Gather headcounts of students and teachers.
Park buses in our bus lot. Please do not block or unload in fire lanes or traffic lanes.
Walk students down the pathway parallel to our main parking to our group entry gate outside the Gift Shop.
Lead teacher: check-in inside the Gift Shop, provide the headcounts collected and payment.
We will welcome your group into the zoo.

Cancellation Policy All education program and camp sales are final. All programs will take place rain or shine. In the event that we cancel your program due to reasons we deem appropriate, a full refund will be issued for the program, and individuals will be contacted directly.
